Institutional Support
In addition to external funding, the University of Minnesota provides exceptional institutional support for IPUMS. The Office of the Vice President for Research has supported the establishment of a reserve fund to provide bridge funding in case of unexpected financial emergencies or gaps in funding. ISRDI supports IPUMS projects with excellent human resources, operations, finance and grant administration, and research development services from a large administrative team. ISRDI also funds the computing and software needs for most IPUMS projects.
